OhmicMarkov#

class braincell.channel.OhmicMarkov(size, name=None, solver=None, substeps=None)#

Markov kinetics driven by an ohmic current.

Markov is the sibling of HH, but only HH had a driving-force subclass, so every ohmic Markov channel in the catalogue wrote out g_max * (sum of open states) * (E - V) by hand and none had a reversal_potential() hook.

Declaring open_states supplies the conductance factor and the rest is inherited from the same mixin OhmicHH uses.

Variables:

open_states (tuple of str) – Names of the conducting states, summed left to right in the order given. Every name must be one of the states declared by pairs.

OhmicHH

The same driving force over HH gates.

Markov

The gating template this builds on.

conductance_factor(V, *ions)[source]#

Return the summed occupancy of the conducting states.

Reads each independent open state directly rather than going through state_values(), which would additionally reconstruct the dependent state only to discard it. The reconstruction is done only if an open state is the dependent one, which no shipped scheme does.
